Cypress, Orange County
Tiger Woods grew up in Cypress and learned the game on nearby public and military golf courses. The city is mostly residential, with a large business park on its south side and Cypress College, opened in 1966, in the middle of town. It lies on the western edge of Orange County, beside Los Alamitos and a short drive from the 605 and 405 freeways.
